Project overview

The team at BID Needham, a division of Beth Israel Lahey Health, contacted Shields SGF for help with new initiative: reaching out to patients in their Emergency Department who were eligible for the MindLAMP program.Created in conjunction with the with Division of Digital Psychiatry at BIDMC, MindLAMP was an eight week program where patients with mild to moderate mental health conditions could be connected to a free cognitive behavioral therapy program. MindLAMP was also provided access to mental health clinicians and was integrated into the care patients were already receiving from their PCP.

Solution

In addition to print handouts for distribution in the Emergency Department, Shields SGF created a 2.5 minute long explainer video that introduced the program and explained the app. In the video creation process, we helped develop the script, record audio, storyboard the sequences and then animate the final product.

Results

With both print and digital outreach material completed by SSGF, BID Needham was able to communicate with patients about the new program. The video could easily explain the process, patient eligibility, the purpose and benefits of the MindLAMP program to stakeholders, doctors and patients. It was even shown at BILH’s 2023 gala so that team members across the organization could learn about MindLAMP’s success.
